Burning Bridges.

The thought-provoking works delve into the intricate interplay of socio-political tensions and their profound impacts on both human and non-human life.
In the research based body of work ‘Burning Bridges’, I am narrating the story of (Skåne’s) forests, urging a paradigm shift in how we perceive these ecosystems and their inhabitants as a unified collective.
By involving forest-collected materials into the artistic process, I am unveiling the ecosystem’s unique character, visible in subtle imprints on film surfaces.

Simultaneously, the documentation of clear-cutting inspires deep reflection on our collective responsibility. The images of this destruction are printed on gathered wood and ignite contemplation on humanity’s course and its repercussions on global ecosystems.
